​Douglas’s preferred medium is oil paint with which he creates light, mood and atmosphere. His command of the paint's luminous effect enables him to harness light in all its ever changing forms as it interacts with the surroundings in all too often fleeting moments. He continually explores new ways to capture light in all his works - not only illuminating a scene, but also serving as the emotional heartbeat of the painting itself.
